David Lynch couldn't have conjured anything weirder.
Rod, I have found, all jokes aside, that publicity photos from the thirties for apparently random events trump everything in terms of the bizarre. Everything. There's just no comparison.
This picture simply has everything. The three rather goth-y swimsuit chicks who suggest the Beach Party cast doing Macbeth; the ratty, tentatively placed Christmas tree; the overcast sky that looks more apocalyptic than festive; the fact the ladies are leaning on some variety of plastic alligator...
And judging from whatever that is around their shoulders, they appear to have recently escaped a large net of some kind.
